Accelerating the Adoption and Development of Advanced Avionics Technology
The Chinese government is determined to develop a domestic large civil aircraft and parts industrythat will be a globally-competitive player by 2020. The development of large civil aircraft islisted as on of china's 16 major development plans in the country's 12th five-year program. The robust growth in the Chinese economy over the last two decade has led to increased passengers demand for air service as airline logistic has grown with the need for timely delivery of certain goods to feed its economic expansion.
China's market for new LCA is expected to surpass those the U.S. and Europe and was projected to need about 2500 regional jets seating for 50 to 200 passengers within 20years.China's ambition to produce commercially-viable civial aircraft faces many obstacls, some of the challenges that industry stakeholders will face include the slower adoption and development of next generation avionics configuration. This is proving to be a challenge and must be in conjunction with foreign assistance in the avionics where China is not globally competitive player.Although, Rockwell Collins and Honeywell, GE Aviation was selected by COMAC as avionics suppliers of COMAC C919, but avionics suppliers of subsequent C919 Series and brand new 250 seat Air bus still remain unknown.
In addition, the gradual opening up to low-altitude airspace will greatly promote the rapid development of low-altitude aircraft and general aviation aircraft. At present, many domestic enterprises have shown their great interest in the development of general aviation aircraft and its supporting industries in succession. China's aircraft maket for avionics is expected to generate up to 180billion in avionics alone over the next twenty years. And will not reach its full market potential without assistance from outside sources in mitigating the current technology shortfall.
After the great success of past three china aerospace manufacturing summits, the 1st Civil aircraft avionics systems and equipment technology conference will move to shanghai, the most promising technology city in china. the conference organizing committee will associate with COMAC, Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Xi'an Aircarft Industry (Group) Company and the China Aeronautical Radio Electronics Research Institute to host 100+ global
advanced aerospace avionics industrial leaders and will establish an exclusive networking platform with the project leaders from C919, M700, AJ21, 30-Seat Turboprop business aircraft, 15-seat Turbofan business aircraft and AC313 Turboshaft helicopter. |
